THE EARTHQUAKE & TSUNAMI IN JAPAN
From the winter of 2000, when the Global Business Dialogue was only an idea, through each of the past eleven years, this organization has benefitted greatly from the vision, support, and generosity of people from Japan, Japanese institutions and Japanese companies.

We share the world's horror at the events that began with the earthquake Friday, March 11, in the Western Pacific and the tsunami that followed.   Our hearts go out to those who have suffered and are suffering from this disaster.  Looking ahead, we have great faith in the Japanese people.  We only hope that we will be able to find ways to be supportive of their efforts to recover and rebuild.

In that spirit GBD has made a contribution to MercyCorps in support of relief efforts in Japan, and we expect to highlight other helping hands in future postings.  The picture below reflects the calm of an earlier time.  It cannot return soon enough.
