Jointly sponsored by the Global Business Dialogue and the Embassy of the Japan, this luncheon symposium began with an address by IBM Vice President and  Christopher Padilla and continued with a panel of experts from the United States and Japan.

The speakers at this session were Charles Freeman  from the Center for Strategic and International Studies, John Neuffer of ITI (Information Technology Industry Council), Frank Vargo of NAM and John Frisbie of the U.S.-China Business Council.  Ann-Marie Padgett of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers served as the moderator for this session.
